About the Building

CW Williams Community Health Center is in Charlotte, North Carolina. This new 2 level 18,000 sf building houses medical, dental, women’s and pediatrics, behavior health and other holistic services.  Located along the busy Wilkinson Boulevard the exterior facade was designed with a grand presence while still feeling inviting. The large windows invite the northern light into the main public spaces and the combination of materials both warm and dark help to anchor the building. The health setting is intended to serve as a healing environment. Access to nature and the colors of nature support healing, so designing the interior spaces holistically by incorporating as much natural light as well as the colors or scenes of nature were important.
