The largest shopping mall in the state of Maryland, Arundel Mills contains 1,630,000 sq ft of Gross Leasable Area. The food court was identified as an area that was in need of a refresh by the owner and a modern district design approach was implemented. Instead of the classic food court style design of as many of the same tables and chairs that could fill the space, a variety of furniture, both hard and soft seating, was selected in order to bring a level of interest and variety. Kiosks have been introduced as well to allow for a smaller tenant to come in and help create a more unique and intimate dining experience.
