About the Building
Mall of Georgia, located in Buford which is located 30 miles Northeast of Atlanta, was built in 1999 and at the time of this redevelopment is the largest shopping mall in the state of Georgia. The concept of the original design was to emulate the look and feel of a train station with large vaulted ceilings. Our renovation consisted of the dining pavilion as well as the “village” area which extends directly outside the pavilion. The dining pavilion seats 750 and was redesigned to elevate and modernize the space to create a more welcoming and interactive dining experience. On the exterior and designed on axis with the dining pavilion is the Mall of Georgia “village” area. The new life brought into the village has been spurred on by the addition of a new exterior fireplace, a redesigned fountain area, and the creation of a new play area for the children of shoppers visiting and spending time at the mall. Festoon and accent lighting throughout the village has helped to increase the night-life around the shopping center adding to the entire shopping experience.
