Retail is ever evolving and working with Landlords to make deals happen is one of our specialties.  Managing changing lease plans and concept elevations while ensuring excellent communication is just the start.  On this project, BHM worked as the Landlord architect to deliver the new ZARA shell building.  Located in Charlotte, NC at South Park Mall, this 1960’s precast double T building wasn’t a simple shell. When ZARA requested a 2 level space, BHM assembled a team and got creative to make it happen. Dropping in a new steel structure floating over the existing concrete roof was the chosen direction,  and from there it all came together.  Shell projects might seem simple,  but they can often be quite challenging. When working with tenants from distant locations on the globe, an array of existing conditions often takes a whole group of creative thinkers to bring a project to successful fruition. This adds to both the excitement and the reward of a project.
