SouthPark Mall in Charlotte, North Carolina exemplifies the successful redevelopment of an existing outdated mall and won the prestigious ICSC award for mall renovations in 2005.  It continues to be the center of luxury shopping for the North and South Carolina region. BHM has been the lead design team, beginning in 2001 with a transformation that included the addition of Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, 100,000 sf of additional small shops, several parking decks containing 5,387 cars, and the expansion of existing department stores.  New high-end shops included Louis Vuitton, Hermes, Burberry, Ralph Lauren, and Tiffany & Company for a total of 1,700,000 square feet.  The Mall continues to evolve, and in 2018 we updated the front entry with a splash of LED color changing columns and new finishes. Today, refreshes are constant throughout the common area seating, dining pavilion, customer touch points and tenant mix.
